Lordy, Lordy!
Look Who's Forty!
Lori Williams

Lori came into this world bringing much laughter and joy to us all. She was born "her own person" and never lacked a strong opinion. As her older sister, I used to say when we were growing up, "Lori will grow up to be a leader of a revolution or the president of the United States." She can do anything she sets her mind to...absolutely anything.  She builds bridges, decks, paints, wallpapers. She sews quilts. She can take a little old shanty and turn into a palace. She's done that several times.

Lori has always kept us laughing. Once when she was about 2, she climbed up on the bathroom cabinet and decided to pin curl her hair. By the time we found her, she had about 100 bobby pins matted in her hair.  She actually was angry when we began pulling them out of her hair.

One time she decided to get the eggs that the milk man had left on the doorstep and take them to her swingset. She and her buddy placed eggs one by one on the swings and flew them into the air.

Lori has always wanted to sing. As a child she would use the hearth as a stage and perform for family and friends, willing AND unwilling guests. She has a voice that is unique, just like her personality. When she sings, her heart sings, and everyone who hears her is touched.

Lori is a gift to everyone who knows her. I'm not saying it is always easy knowing her, because sometimes her strong will and "vision" doesn't fit in with those around her. But that strong will and
vitality is her trademark. Once she has a dream or an idea, her creative spirit soars.

--Lori, your sister, brother-in-law and mother want you to know that this 40th birthday is a day of celebration for us. Knowing you makes our life exciting. We love you!

Happy Birthday Lori!!
